Bedroom renovation

Bedroom with lovely decor
A lovely and cosy bedroom to enjoy a good night sleep.

Here we have an example of a total room renovation from start to finish, rooms looked really dated, and the roof had hardly any insulation. So following our bathroom renovations all was gutted and replaced with a brand new everything! New floor (burnt out design), new walls, new ceiling with open plan right up to the roof ridge, new wiring together with TV and network cable, smoke alarm etc… This post shows an extensive set of photographs as well as a couple of videos shot showing the various stages of the renovation with commentary explaining the stages of the work, the final result is quite spectacular! As of today the room is pretty much terminated, but, as always, there still are snags to deal with, the most impressive result is that the insulation work really made a huge difference, coming from a drafty and generally cold upstairs to a room that is draft proof and generally needing little heating, we planned and fitted 2 radiators (see videos) and, as of November 2021 they have not been turned on; a combination of downstairs heating and bathroom door being left opened with a bulky cast iron radiator provides sufficient heat to keep the room nice and cosy. So much so that we’re probably going to remove one of the radiators as it is likely to be redundant.

All in all when the house is completely renovated (downstairs is next, keep a watch!), we’re confident that our heating bill will be very low.

Testimonial

Further to the repairs you did to my fence in September 2020, I would like to express my  complete satisfaction with  the work you carried out. It also makes a change to have a tradesman turn upon the day and time they promised. I have no objection should you wish to use this email as part of any advertising that you may undertake. I hope you don’t get anymore splinters in your fingers, I would also recommend your son for the hard work he put in cutting down the jungle of knee high grass that was my back garden.  Regards Stuart Cunningham

New Youtube Channel

Just created a new Youtube Channel on which I will post useful tips and tricks learned since starting the business in 2012, I can’t believe that it has been seven years, yes seven! since I started working as a handyman, the business is going from strength to strength and I am ready to embrace a very busy 2019.

Wall mounted LCD TV, bathroom blind and hanging basket bracket

Some more work in a property in Stirling, I get a lot of custom from Stirling 🙂 today was the turn of a wall mounted TV (fitting bracket and TV on it, luckily on a solid internal wall) a Blind fitted and adjusted to size and to finish a garden hanging basket bracket to fit.

Delighted customer as usual.

Garden furniture renovation

Today I delivered some benches chairs and table back to a Client in Dunblane, who was delighted to see the result.

I can pick up and drop your items back after work is carried out included in the price.

Shelves, downlight, garage door

A few jobs in a property in Stirling, the biggest challenge was the garage door that jammed, not only it was jammed but it was rigged with an electric opening and closing system which I needed to understand first, I got there in the end and the door was fixed.
